Vegas MOVIE!!!

I was asked to co-star in a Las Vegas movie. At first I thought it would be too revealing and compromise my integrity. But I think it turned out quite tasteful. I hope someday it may lead to additional roles -- perhaps in movie adaptation of a Broadway musical.

Vegas

Yup -- I went to Vegas. My flight just got in at 630 am this morning and I have my first class of the day at 930 am. Vegas was... well... interesting? It was definitely something worth seeing. The hotels and casinos are over-the-top. This picture is me at the Venetian near the canal and you can see a gondola behind me.
The absolute highlight of the trip was going to see Cirque du Soleil -- we saw Mystere and it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. And I say "thing" not because I'm being vague but it was literally the MOST beautiful THING I have ever seen -- including all things I have seen. You get it. And I only had 3 hours of sleep so cut me a break.

Frivolity Saves the Cat

I ordered a pair of shoes online last night b/c when I am down I usually find that shoes help ... at least a little bit.

But can you believe THESE? They are the most ridiculous pair of shoes I have EVER seen. And now they are on my feet.

My aunt passed away this week. She was sick with cancer for a very short time. It is a terrible loss.

In the interest of being more honest on this otherwise fluffy and meaningless blog, I thought I would tell you.

Last Semester of Law School EVER!

First day of my last semester in law school! WOW. I started the day at 930 and ended at 6 w/o a break. My classes seem really interesting and I feel pretty good about them.

I'm on a new health kick too. Yippee!!!

Right now I'm watching Medium. I *love* it. It is so scary that I feel like a big girl when I watch it. Because if i wasn't a big girl, I wouldn't be allowed to watch it.

Just Got Back

I just got back from Florida a few hours ago. The trip was from Dec 26th - (today) Jan 7th! WOW. But we drove so we had to make it a long trip to be worth the drive. The party consisted of: me, Ryan, my mom, Simon (the dog), Nan, Pop, Louise and Marty. We were quite a clan in my grandparents' house! I may post a few pictures.

The highlight was that Simon fell into the St. Lucie River (which is a large river right next to our house). He had never been swimming before but he gave it his best paddle even though the water was only 2 feet deep.

The boys did a lot of golfing and... I did a lot of reading .... for fun! I read all of Jude the Obscure by Thomas Hardy and I'm almost done with This Side of Paradise by F. Scott Fitzgerald. AHHHHH the pleasures of reading when you can chose what you read.

The postings will begin again now the semester is beginning (Monday). I am signed up for 7 2-credit classes (all of which are of great interest to me), plus work once a week, plus Esqchoir. But the classes should be fun and ... not to be smug ... I did pretty goddam well this past semester and I have a freakin' job so this last semester is my time to enjoy what I'm learning.

Cheerio for now!
