I HATE DAVID COOK
Anyone watch American Idol? I hate David Cook. He's a complete douchebag.

Although he has his moments from time to time, there is something about him that just makes me ill as well as violent, wanting to gouge out my eyes with bamboo skewers and set my ears on fire!
Tell me does putting David Cook down make you all feel better about yourselves? Because I can tell you this it makes me sick. Putting down David Cook makes me feel better because it's the right thing to do. I cannot stand idly by while the evil inherit the world. The man is a poser (in French, poseur). Everything about him is an affectation. There is no shortage of people in the world who can sing. Let's save our praise for those that have integrity and a soul.
i LOATH david cook. the whole bamboo through the eyes thing is a pretty apt description for my reaction to him as well. hope he wins. ai has about run it's course and his winning will def be the beginning of the end.

First as an aside and merely meant as a helpful tip, Lonewolf, your arguments would be stronger if you learned the difference between "your" and "you're." Also, I'm 30. My teen days are long gone.
Second, I agree that David Cook lacks musical integrity and originality. The songs that he has sung in a "different" way are all copies of covers done by real musicians (i.e. Chris Cornell's version of Billy Jean). I will admit that David Cook has a solid voice but I agree with Kurt that there is not a shortage of good singers in this country ... although AI sure makes it seem like there is.
Lastly, I dislike ALL of the contestants this year. I singled out David Cook because I was surprised that he was receiving so much praise and, from a purely aesthetic standpoint, his hair is hideous.
yeah, all the contestants are pretty lame. david archuleta is so robotic even his smile seems to be reloading every 3 seconds. but cook is an especially buoyant turd. for a balding, doughy guy with mediocre talent he's just so smug. he's got this smarmy, rock-god, second-coming-of-bono vibe that's really unappealing (not to mention unwarranted.)
as a matter of fact my dear i'm not on anything stronger than a little pcp. i think someone is taking it all a bit too seriously. as impressive as your resume is (i'm sure everyone really appreciates you sharing it) it's precisely because of folks like you and your brainwashed daughter that "reality" shows like AI (that hire professional performers and scriptwriters) flourish. there is nothng real about it. btw, frenchfry, a "poseur" is an affected, insincere fraud, phony and fake...just like david cook!

Funny, people are reading my mind. I read an article where a gorgeous Chris Cornell noted that David was copying off of other artist's versions of songs. So, yeah they are all covering original songs, but instead of coming up with his own version, he is borrowing others. It makes me sick people think he is so creative.... think again, he's a total poser.

I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt -- over and over again, with my 15 year old daughter reminding me often that he comes off as fake.
